theReformed consists of collective, progressive thoughts from credible, recognizable personalities worldwide who intend to share their insight, experience, opinion and knowledge with the Internet community as a whole. The commentary emerges from the wisdom of battle-hardened, experienced professionals who’ve served in the trenches of Information Technology / Security, the industry that advances it and the Underground that exploits it.
aMethodology »
The areas of discussion are driven and focused, but may vary. Generally topics as a whole reflect on InfoSec, WebAppSec, Industry Trends, Product Review, Disclosure, Privacy, Politics and even the Economy.
Deadlines do not exist for the contributors as deadlines tend to force ideas and concepts instead of letting them mature naturally. The contributors are granted publishing privileges by invitation only to ensure the entry quality is of a high caliber. All contributors come and go as they please as their schedules and priorities allow.
The contributors are an amalgamation of industry professionals and scene personalities. Social relationships have drawn the convergence of talented minds to this publically observable and transparent think-tank. Many contributors come from many different / former groups and varying walks of life, which is entirely beneficial and advantageous to creating a electronic melting pot of information within the project.

theReformed itself originated under the auspices of table conversation by several contributors to the former HNC Network (circa 1996-2003), which had come together as a coalition of technology enthusiasts, blackhats/whitehats and infosec professionals. They needed a outlet and they wanted to share the microphone with close friends and associates.
theReformed, however, isn’t a fork of that former organization. It is an entirely self-contained, affiliation neutral, intentionally low-maintenance project within itself. theReformed was devised as a singular method in providing a neutral publishing platform for colleagues to evangelize from. Much of the content produced comes from the relentless pursuit of self-advancement in the corresponding courses of study, field experience and operational feedback from the bleeding edge.
aIntention »
The project looks to reflect a progressiveness, in attitude and in the life and career of the contributors as well as the community and the industry. Education or stimulation of the viewing public is paramount to the contributors.
